This is a Per Diem (as needed) position with scheduled hours between 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday. The Patient Services Associate (PSA) I enhances the patient/customer experience by courteously and professionally processing arrival and departure activities associated with visits to the practice/department. Primarily working at the front desk of an outpatient practice, the PSA I verifies insurance, referrals, and patient demographic information. The PSA I supports the delivery of the Jefferson Experience by emphasizing prompt and courteous treatment of all patients and visitors to maintain an efficient flow of patients to examination rooms. Responsibilities include processing check-in and check-out, point of service activities, and scheduling patient appointments via EPIC. The role involves greeting and interacting with patients/visitors professionally, either on the phone or in person, maintaining an efficient practice flow, and escalating concerns as appropriate. The PSA must adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements and ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications: HS Diploma or equivalent required. Customer service and/or patient-facing healthcare experience preferred.
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.
Location: 5501 Old York Road, Philadelphia, PA.
