Job description

Department: 09122 AMG Oswego - Front End Staff

Status: Full time

Benefits Eligible: Yes

Hours Per Week: 40

Schedule Details/Additional Information:

This PSR position covers the IM/FP/PEDs/OB/LAB/RAD/ENDO/NEPH/ACC check-in desks.

Office hours:

Monday-Thursday 6:30am to 7pm (rotating late-night)

Friday 6:30am to 5pm

Rotating Saturdays 6:30am to 12pm

Address: 80 Templeton Dr. Oswego, IL

Hours: M-F 6:30am-8pm, Sat 6:30am-12pm (every 3-4 weeks)

Major Responsibilities:

  • Patient Services: Provides efficient, high-quality service to patients arriving for appointments or seeking information via phone or in person, including scheduling, registration, and answering patient questions. Ensures timely patient flow and verifies insurance information.
  • Billing Services: Ensures accurate entry of billing information during patient visits and follows up on missing data.
  • Medical Record Services: Maintains accurate and confidential medical records, releases information per policies, and prepares charts for appointments.

Education/Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years of related customer service experience
  • Experience handling difficult callers/patients

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • CRT/PC experience in customer service
  • Knowledge of eClinicalWorks preferred
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work in a high-volume, multitask environment, possibly in a crowded space
  • Exposure to ill patients
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds; use patient handling equipment for heavier lifts

Pay Range: $19.45 - $29.20
