Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR) Float to provide front office coverage across multiple practice locations. The role requires travel between sites, weekend and holiday rotations, and a focus on patient service and accuracy.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, at least one year of customer service experience, and strong communication skills. Flexibility to work across different offices and teams is essential.

• Process co-pays and daily payment batches accurately.
• Scan and index documents into the EMR.
• Provide coverage for multiple practice locations, including weekend/holiday rotations.
• Support Patient Centered Medical Home initiatives and other projects.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and organizational policies.

Our Patient Service Representatives are often the first point of contact for patients and play a critical role in creating a positive experience across our network of practices.

About the Job:

The Patient Service Representative (PSR) Float is responsible for providing front office coverage across multiple Southern New Hampshire Health practice locations as needed. This role requires flexibility and the ability to travel between practices, sometimes supporting more than one location in the same day. The PSR Float serves as a vital resource to ensure seamless operations and excellent patient service throughout the organization.

What You’ll Do:

• Greet and direct patients, visitors, and customers in a professional and compassionate manner
• Answer incoming telephone calls and provide general information
• Perform patient check-in and check-out functions
• Schedule appointments and requested testing
• Enter and track referrals
• Verify and update patient demographic and registration information
• Collect and process co-pays and daily payment batches accurately
• Scan and index documentation into the electronic medical record
• Provide coverage for multiple practice locations, including weekend and holiday rotations as needed
• Support Patient Centered Medical Home initiatives and other special projects
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies and procedures

Who You Are / Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Minimum one year of customer service experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with Windows-based office applications
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
