Tenet Healthcare seeks a Patient Services Representative, Centralized Scheduling, to coordinate initial evaluations across 21 locations. You will handle the scheduling for physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, or cardiac rehab, calling 120–150 patients daily and managing referrals.

The role requires at least two years in a medical office, with preferred medical assistant credentials and school-level education. A strong emphasis on accuracy and patient communication is essential.

• Minimum 2 years medical office experience or externship with Healthlink accepted.
• Preferred 4 years medical office experience.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Active Healthcare Provider BLS on hire; must obtain BLS within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Schedule initial evaluations for the correct discipline and therapist specialty across 21 locations.
• Call 120–150 patients daily to schedule initial evaluations for multiple therapies.
• Upload referrals daily and filter information to schedule accurately.
• Navigate locations with patients, answer calls, and respond to voicemails.
• Collaborate with Physician Relations Managers and perform miscellaneous scheduling tasks.

The Patient Services Representative, Centralized scheduling is responsible for scheduling initial evaluations for the correct discipline under the correct therapist specialty for 21 locations. This position is to call 120-150 patients a day to schedule their initial evaluation for physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy or cardiac rehabilitation. This position uploads all received referrals daily, around 200 referrals, filters through the correct information to schedule correctly, navigate locations and scheduling with patients, answer incoming calls, respond to voicemails, work with Physician Relations Managers and other misc tasks to correctly schedule patients and obtain all necessary information from referrals sources and patients.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent GED

PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associate's Degree from an accredited school or college. Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assisting Program and/or a Certified Medical Assistant

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years of medical office experience or have completed an externship with Healthlink in lieu of 2 years of medical experience.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 4 years medical office experience

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: NA

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Certified Medical Assistant

REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
