Forefront Dermatology is seeking a Patient Service Representative for our Wexford, PA clinic. The role involves patient check-in, updating personal and insurance information, managing a multi-line phone system and basic medical records tasks.

Responsibilities include maintaining the waiting area, scheduling follow-ups, assisting with the EHR, and handling small product sales and mail distribution. A courteous, detail-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years of recent medical office experience or in a similar capacity is preferred.
• Proficient in basic computer functions.
• Ability to learn new software quickly.
• Must possess excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm is preferred.
• Must possess attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.
• Ability to respond positively to constructive feedback and direction from supervisors.
• Must display a friendly, cheerful, tactful, and polite demeanor, and must be compassionate and caring in dealing with others.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

• Sells and tracks cosmetic products.
• Distributes mail.
• Prepares for next day scheduled appointments.

The Patient Service Representative is responsible for the patient check-in process, updating computer patient personal information and insurance information, handling a multi-line phone system, medical records filing and maintenance, and collection of co-pays and cash payments.
