Forefront Dermatology in Coralville (IA) is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our fast-paced front desk team. You will greet patients, check in for appointments, verify insurance, and manage a multi-line phone system while keeping records organized.

Responsibilities include opening/closing clinic duties, scanning documents into the EHR, handling co-pays, selling cosmetic products, and scheduling follow-up visits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years of medical office experience preferred.
• Proficient with basic computer functions.
• Able to learn new software quickly.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Summary

The Patient Service Representative is responsible for the patient check-in process, updating computer patient personal information and insurance information, handling a multi-line phone system, medical records filing and maintenance, and collection of co-pays and cash payments.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• 1+ years of recent medical office experience or in a similar capacity is preferred
• Proficient in basic computer functions
• Ability to learn new software quickly
• Must possess excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills
• Ability to operate standard office equipment
• Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm is preferred
• Must possess attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team
• Ability to respond positively to constructive feedback and direction from supervisors
• Must demonstrate professional appearance and manner at all times
• Must display a friendly, cheerful, tactful, and polite demeanor, and must be compassionate and caring in dealing with others
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
