RadNet is seeking a Patient Service Representative to float across Nassau County locations. You will greet patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays, answer calls, schedule appointments and guide patients through prep and safety protocols.

This role emphasizes professional communication, HIPAA compliance, and teamwork in a fast-paced imaging center environment. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, strong computer skills, and experience in customer service within

Responsabilidades

• Greet and register patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Verify insurance and patient information; collect signatures; ensure documentation is complete.
• Collect and log co-pays and fees.
• Answer and transfer incoming calls.
• Schedule, reschedule or cancel appointments; confirm and notify staff.
• Provide orientation on prep and safety; give directions to facilities.
• Coordinate with back-office for timely care of patients.
• Safeguard patient information and property; comply with HIPAA.
• Safeguard medications on site per policy.
• Maintain professional behavior and respect patient boundaries.
• Interact with patients and families diplomatically.

You Will:

• Greet and register patients in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
• Obtain or verify proper insurance and patient information, collect signatures and ensure accuracy and completion of necessary documentation.
• Collect and log all co-pays and fees
• Answer/transfer incoming phone calls.
• Schedule, reschedule or cancel new or current patients, confirm appointments and notify staff of changes when necessary.
• Give patients appropriate orientation for preparatory and safety protocols, and provide directions to facilities if needed.
• Coordinate with the back-office staff for timely and effective care of patients
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrates ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills

Pay Range: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
