Job summary

BJC Medical Group in Saint Louis, Missouri is seeking a full-time Patient Services Representative to join our front desk team. You will perform patient check-ins, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate financial records in a fast-paced medical office.

Ideal candidates have high school diploma or GED, 2–5 years of experience in a medical office, and a strong commitment to patient service. This role offers a day shift, 40 hours per week, and benefits with no weekend or holiday calls.

Responsibilities

• Handles telephone calls from patients and staff; forwards calls requiring triage.

• Performs data entry of service charges, including diagnostic codes and entering charges.
• Coordinates information with Central Billing Office to ensure charges are captured and properly collected.

Role Purpose

The Patient Services Representative acts as the initial point of contact for front office activity and helps directs the patient flow process at the physician office. This position performs patient check-ins and appointment scheduling. This position also maintains patient financial records and may serve as a switchboard operator as needed.
