Department: Radiation Oncology

Position is located: Lafayette Building

Work Type: PRN

Summary:

The Patient Service Representative III is a supporting position responsible for activities related to patient intake and care. It includes duties such as greeting patients, verifying insurance, scheduling appointments, answering phones, processing referrals, collecting payments, and supporting practice operations. The role requires higher competency and experience than PSR II, with independence in coordinating patient appointments and handling practice challenges. The PSR III also mentors new staff and may assist with training and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with patients, staff, and physicians
  • Handle patient check-in, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and documentation
  • Assist with training support staff and cover other support roles as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to communications
  • Participate in meetings, safety drills, and practice projects
  • Ensure compliance with policies and maintain accurate documentation
  • Perform duties related to billing, collections, and revenue reporting
  • Support safety and quality initiatives within the practice
