Job summary

ProMedica Central Physicians is seeking a Patient Service Coordinator for the Ophthalmology department. You will warmly greet patients, register them, answer phones, take messages, and schedule or adjust appointments while maintaining the provider’s calendar.

You will also support the clinical staff with outgoing calls to patients, pharmacies and other providers as needed. A friendly, organized approach and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience in a customer service or clerical setting required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, third party billing and referral procedures preferred.
• Experience with EPIC EMS preferred.
• 3 years' experience in a clerical or office function preferred.
• 1 year experience in a medical office setting.*
