Job Summary: MedStar Health is looking for a FT Patient Service Coordinator to join our team for Ambulatory Services in Brandywine, Maryland.
As a Patient Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients by greeting them warmly, managing check-in/out processes, gathering demographic information, verifying insurance, collecting copayments, and scheduling appointments.

Primary Duties

• Manage patient intake into the practice, screen for emergent conditions, register patients, verify insurance, and explain patient responsibilities regarding payments.
• Coordinate efficient patient flow through the practice or hospital department assigned.

Minimum qualifications include 6 months to 1 year of high-quality customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, and a High School Diploma or GED.
