Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is seeking a Patient Safety Specialist to support the Risk Management team in coordinating safety programs and improving patient outcomes at our 294-bed acute-care hospital in North Texas.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of experience in patient safety, quality, or risk management, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and CPPS certification within 18 months of hire. Texas licensing is required if applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare, or related field.
• Texas license to practice (if licensed).
• CPPS or equivalent certification within 18 months of hire.
• 2–3 years of experience in Patient Safety, Quality, or Risk Management.

Responsibilities

• Support a facility on a day-to-day basis through program coordination and works with Manager of Patient Safety and Risk Management.
• Investigate, analyze, and trend patient safety events and data.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, accrediting, and regulatory obligations.
• Protect assets of the organization and promote patient, visitor, and employee safety.
