Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in North Texas is seeking a Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Specialist to support lifelong learning in an inter-professional environment. This exempt role focuses on education design, change leadership, and advancing nursing practice within a 8-5, Monday–Friday schedule.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Nursing, Texas RN license, BLS certification, and NPD or Certified Nurse Educator within two years. Hospital-based experience preferred.

• Current Texas nursing license to practice.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
• NPD Certification or Certified Nurse Educator within two years of start date.
• Clinical certification preferred.

Job Description: Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Specialist – 0442 Exempt NPD Specialist (Lawson). Your Job: In this highly technical, fast paced, and challenging NPD Specialist position, you will support the changing landscape of healthcare in an inter-professional practice and learning environment. You will support lifelong learners in an inter-professional environment that facilitates continuous development and learning.

Your Job Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Nursing required
• Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support certification
• NPD Certification or Certified Nurse Educator within two years of start date
• Clinical certification preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical nursing practice and application of adult education theory in a hospital and/or School of Nursing
