NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in Patchogue, NY invites a Patient Safety/Risk Manager (Full Time Days) to lead investigations of adverse events and drive risk management initiatives across the institution, reporting to the Assistant Director and Senior Director.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Nursing or Health Care Administration, 3–5 years in risk management or QA&I, strong communication, and preferably a Masters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or health care administration required.
• 3–5 years progressive risk management or quality improvement experience in an academic hospital preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Investigates adverse events and supports risk management initiatives.
• Develops and monitors hospital-wide risk management projects, policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with NYS 405 regulations, PHLP and JCAHO requirements.
• Coordinates with clinical and administrative staff on risk issues and patient safety data.
• Takes 24/7 risk management call as required.
