Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville seeks a Quality Improvement Advisor to provide project management facilitation, education, and data analysis to improve clinical quality, patient safety, and financial outcomes.

You will support the Transfusion Safety program, collaborate with hospital leaders to align safety protocols with regulatory requirements, and help develop educational programs for clinical teams, with an onsite focus on the main campus.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Vanderbilt Health Transfusion Safety program under direction of department hospital leaders to align with overall quality and safety plan.
• Collaborates with hospital leaders to establish, monitor, and maintain safety protocols and procedures to promote safe patient care and in compliance with clinical policies and regulatory requirements.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication and coordination with operational and clinical staff to support safe and evidence‑based transfusion practices.
• Manages and communicates data and information relevant to hospital goals and initiatives related to transfusion practices.
• Participates in clinical review of workflows and analysis of non‑conforming events.
• Participates in the development and delivery of educational programs for clinical team members.
