Job summary

Adventist Health Portland is seeking a Manager-level professional to coordinate patient safety initiatives across our Portland region. You will partner with leaders to implement reliability practices, develop action plans, and advance safety culture.

Responsibilities include facilitating root cause analyses, tracking corrective actions, and supporting survey readiness. A RN or related credential may be preferred; CPPS/Lean/Six Sigma are required or pursued within two years.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 year experience in quality, patient safety, risk management, or performance improvement.
  • 2 years experience in patient safety, quality improvement, or related roles.

Responsibilities

  • Supports local patient safety program aligned with system goals and tracks safety metrics.
  • Leads root cause analyses and action plans with clinical/operational leaders.
  • Oversees safety culture surveys and implements learning from events and PSO data.
  • Provides education on patient safety principles and high reliability behaviors to teams.
  • Compiles safety event data and assists with leadership reporting and committee materials.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
