Job summary

UF Health is seeking a patient sitter to work under the direction of a Registered Nurse, providing a safe environment for individuals who require constant observation.

You will sit with patients, assist with activities of daily living, and offer diversionary activities while maintaining confidentiality and safety. Basic care is limited to what is necessary for daily living and comfort.

Required education is a High School Diploma or GED; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Knowledge of standard precautions.
• Ability to recognize emergency situations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical responsibilities.
