Job summary

Mass General Brigham, in partnership with Martha's Vineyard Hospital, seeks a per diem Observation role under RN direction to provide constant observation for patients identified as a risk to themselves or others, delivering essential care while upholding patient confidentiality and hospital policies.

Responsibilities include documenting patient care, relaying handoff information, assisting with feeding, and complying with hospital guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Some healthcare experience; 0-1 year preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide constant observation of patients identified as at risk.
• Document the care of patients under observation.
• Keep the RN informed of changes in the patient’s condition.
• Assist patients in the event of a fall.
• Receive and provide detailed handoff information from/to staff.
• Assist with feeding patients as directed by the RN.
• Perform other duties as assigned and follow hospital policies.
