Job summary

Riverwood Healthcare Center is seeking a qualified healthcare professional to lead patient safety and occupational health initiatives across its RHCC team. This role aims to protect providers, patients, and the public by implementing data-driven safety training and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will collaborate with clinical staff to deploy programs, monitor outcomes, and foster a culture of safety within the hospital and clinics in Aitkin, McGregor, and Garrison.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Minnesota or equivalent licensure with clinical experience.
• Preferred: RN license in Minnesota; CPPS/COHN/COHN-S certifications.
• Experience with patient safety initiatives is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage patient safety initiatives across RHCC.
• Develop data-driven safety training programs meeting regulatory requirements.
• Promote a continuous safety culture protecting providers, patients, and the public.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and best practices.

About the Position:

Responsible for implementing and managing patient safety and employee/occupational health initiatives designed to protect the health and safety of all Riverwood Healthcare Center (RHCC) team members; and promote a continuous culture of safety across the organization. This position will develop and deploy efficient, data driven safety training programs that meet regulatory compliance and reduce organizational risk while advocating for practices and procedures that protect providers, patients, and the public.

What we are looking for:

Education and Experience

• Current Registered Nurse certification/current Minnesota licensure, or licensed healthcare professional in a clinical discipline with relevant experience.
• Preferred: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota; Certification (or willingness to obtain) in Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS)/ Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) or COHN-S

Certifications and Licensure:

• Preferred: Patient Safety certification or COHN or COHN-S certification.
