Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Safety Companion to provide continuous observation of assigned patients, ensuring their safety and comfort in a compassionate care environment.

The role includes light patient care tasks such as repositioning, ambulation support, bathing and feeding, along with accurate documentation in the patient record and clear communication with the care team to support high-quality care.

This hourly position emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and adherence to CPR-BLS requirements.

Qualifications

• CPR - BLS within 90 days of onboarding.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous observation of assigned patients to maintain safety.
• Assist with light patient care tasks (repositioning, ambulation, bathing, feeding).
