Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, ID is hiring a Patient Safety Attendant to provide continuous observation and surveillance for patients. The role supports a safe environment within the Clinical Support Team (Float Pool) and follows a day shift pattern with potential evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in a hospital or as a student in a medical discipline is helpful.
• BLS/HCP certification from AHA/ARC/Military Training Network preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain visual observation of assigned patient(s) at all times and verbally redirect the patient as appropriate.
• Provide a first line of action by verbally redirecting patients from at-risk behaviors and notify staff in case of emergency.
• Document observations every 15-30 minutes and participate in handoff of pertinent information to staff.
• Assist licensed nursing staff with care and seek assistance when a patient poses a threat to themselves or others.
