Qualifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • CPI certification required prior to conducting patient observation.
  • Previous hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe environment and monitor patients as delegated by the RN.
  • Document observations and relevant information during patient care.
  • Perform handoff communication with the RN regarding patient information.
  • Assist nursing team to maintain ligature-free environment as appropriate to setting.
  • Notify licensed nurse of any immediate safety concerns or patient needs.
  • Foster positive, professional communication between patients and staff.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures.
