Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus seeks a Casual/Per Diem Patient Safety Attendant to float across five Mount Carmel hospitals, supporting patient safety and observation under RN supervision.

Day and night shifts available; weekend and holiday rotation required; part-time position with competitive benefits starting day one. You’ll join teams across Dublin, East, Grove City, New Albany and St. Ann’s, delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous patient care experience helpful but not necessary.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions.

As a Casual/Per Diem Patient Safety Attendant (PSA), you will float to our 5 main hospitals:

Shift Details

• Day Shift and Night Shift available.
• Day Shift: 7:00 am - 7:30 am
• Night Shift: 7:00 pm - 7:30 am
• Weekend and Holiday Rotation Required.

Position Purpose

• In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Patient Safety Attendant provides support for a safe environment for the patient who may be mentally/emotionally incapacitated, confused, or at risk of injuring themselves or others. Provides observation of patient activities under the direction of the registered nurse assigned to manage the patient’s plan of care.
