Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is seeking a Virtual Patient Safety Attendant to monitor patients remotely, ensuring safety and emotional well-being from a remote station. You will alert the care team to risks, document changes, and protect confidentiality while supporting a compassionate, respectful healthcare environment.

You will work with the care team to respond quickly, safeguard privacy, and contribute to patient-centered care across the organization. No travel is required.

Qualifications

• Must obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date.
• Must obtain Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 60 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients remotely to ensure safety and well-being.
• Identify fall risks or self-harm signals and alert the care team promptly.
• Document patient activity and any changes with accuracy throughout shifts.
• Safeguard patient privacy and protect confidential information at all times.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote compassion, respect, and teamwork.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Virtual Patient Safety Attendant, you will play a vital role in protecting patients at risk for falls, injury, or self-harm. From your remote station, you will closely monitor their physical and emotional well-being and communicate concerns in real time – empowering the care team to respond quickly and helping care for and improve lives one moment at a time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Watching patients with continuous focus to ensure their safety and well-being


• Identifying risks such as falls or self-harm and promptly alerting the care team to intervene quickly and protect patients


• Documenting patient activity and changes with accuracy and clarity throughout your shift


• Honoring patient privacy by safeguarding confidential information at all times


• Collaborating closely with the healthcare team to foster a culture of compassion, respect, and teamwork

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date


• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
