Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a patient sitter to monitor assigned patients and ensure safety while coordinating with the RN and care team during ongoing observation.

This role requires 18+ years of age, good communication, basic computer skills, and flexibility to work varied shifts, including every other weekend and 12-hour or 8-hour shifts with differential pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Prior patient sitter experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate with a wide variety of staff, patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety for assigned patients through continuous observation and surveillance.
• Communicate with the RN and patient care team to ensure a safe environment for patients requiring constant observation.
• Complete duties under the direct supervision of the RN.

Job Description

Is effectively involved with maintaining the safety for assigned patients through continuous observation and surveillance. Communicates with the Registered Nurse and patient care team to ensure a safe environment for medical patients requiring constant observation. Completes duties as assigned under the direct supervision of the RN.

Additional Information About the Position for Qualified Candidates

This position will require every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) in addition to varied weekday shifts. Recruiter will discuss shift availability upon time of offer. Dependent upon availability, possible shifts could include: 12-hour or 8-hour shifts Day, evening, or night shift. Night shift differential: $1.75 Evening shift differential: $1.35.

Education

• Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Preferred: Previous patient sitter experience
