Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a Room Service Attendant to support nutrition services on the inpatient floor. You will be the designated meal service contact, delivering meals and honoring patient dietary orders with professionalism and care.

This part-time position requires standing, lifting trays, and flexing hours up to full time; benefits include health, vision, and dental on day one. English fluency and hospitality mindset are essential, with experience in food service software preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional experience in quality food or hospitality service.
• Must obtain a Food Handler's Card.
• Must possess the knowledge and abilities essential to the position.
• Ability to set and deliver quality meal service as ordered, on time, hot and per hospital standards.
• Proven food and beverage knowledge.
• Must be fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals, snacks and beverages to patients on the inpatient floor.
• Obtain and honor patient food selections and preferences.
• Utilize current food service ordering software with proficiency.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and address concerns through service recovery.
