Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to perform cleaning and sanitizing of patient rooms and other areas across the hospital. The role requires following proper cleaning guidelines, safe handling of supplies, and adherence to sanitation standards.

The position supports a sanitary, efficient environment for patients and staff at our New Jersey campuses. Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED with 3–6 months of housekeeping experience preferred

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3–6 months of experience in housekeeping in either a hospital or institutional setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses appropriate cleaning supplies and chemicals according to departmental procedures.
• Cleans and prepares patient rooms, beds, stretchers, and other assigned areas in a timely and efficient manner.
• Scrubs, mops, and buffs floors; dusts and polishes furniture; cleans glass interiors and fixtures.
• Removes trash and follows sanitation and safety requirements.
• Attends monthly staff meetings and maintains areas in a neat, sanitary condition.
