Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in assigned areas of the hospital. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Minimum pay starts at $17.55 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement options. Prior cleaning experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, furniture and other areas in a timely manner.
• Deliver linen and remove trash from assigned areas.
• Sweep and mop patient rooms.
• Maintain stock of materials, supplies and chemicals on cleaning cart and in janitor's closet.
• Perform daily floor care procedures.
• Ensure equipment is kept clean and polished and cleaned at shift end.
• Perform other duties as assigned per hospital policies.
