Summary of Job Duties

The Appointment Business Center Patient Representative for Neurosurgery Service Line answers telephones, coordinates complex appointments, and requests and reviews records in a call center environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED with four (4) years of experience in business office administration, customer service, registration, billing, insurance, scheduling, or call center

OR

  • Associate degree with two (2) years of experience in business office administration, customer service, registration, billing, insurance, scheduling, or call center

OR

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required
  • Intermediate proficiency with computers (MS Office Suite preferred)
  • Highly proficient keyboard and telephone etiquette skills
  • General knowledge of office machines including printers and scanners

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with EPIC system
  • Call center experience
  • Experience in registration, billing, or scheduling in a healthcare environment
