PATIENT REPRESENTATIVE/ BUSINESS SERVICE SUPERVISOR - BILINGUAL

Position Overview

Patient representatives are responsible for patient registration, including interviews, data entry, financial review, insurance verification, explaining policies regarding patient rights and responsibilities, clinic policies, payment of charges, and available services.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: One year healthcare experience in patient registration, admissions, or billing preferred. Medical Assistant training is a plus.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Good computer skills; EMR experience preferred. Strong interpersonal skills. High ethics in maintaining patient confidentiality. Ability to maintain courteous and customer-oriented demeanor in crises. Ability to assist patients with non-clinical requests. Capable of carrying out registration processes without interruption. Adaptability to change. Flexible schedule for shift rotations. Ability to work closely with co-workers, staff, and patients.
  • Physical and Mental Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, walk, and converse most of the day. Operate office equipment including telephone, calculator, computer, and printer/fax. Occasionally exert up to 10 pounds of force including pushing, lifting, carrying, and pulling objects. No exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue as per OSHA Category III.
