Job summary

MD Now Urgent Care is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant to support patient care across Florida locations. You will prepare patients, assist with exams, and help with labs, injections, and room readiness.

The ideal candidate has an accredited Medical Assisting program, EHR experience, and is willing to travel between MD Now sites. AAMA certification is helpful and BLS/Drug screening may be required within 30 days.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting.
• Experience using an EHR system.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program or completion of an approved program (BOTP).
• Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is helpful.
• Ability to obtain Breath Alcohol Screening & Drug Screening within 30 days of start preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/BLS) within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies/equipment including sterilization.
• Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy needs.
• Assist physicians with splints, dressings, and bandages.
• Assist with transfers and scheduling of follow-up care.
• Coordinate physicals and workplace injuries for partner accounts.
• Screen incoming calls for referrals to physicians/practitioners.
• Willing to travel/float between MD Now locations within assigned area.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Medical Assistant, you will:

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs

You Should Have:

• 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting is preferred
• Experience using an EHR system is very helpful
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assisting or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required
• Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is helpful
• The ability to obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certificate and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 30 days of start preferred
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
