Job summary

MD Now Urgent Care is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced urgent care setting. Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, assisting with treatments, injections, lab work, and coordinating follow-up care.

The role requires flexibility to work at MD Now clinics within the assigned area and travel/float as needed. The ideal candidate has 1+ year clinical experience, familiarity with EHR systems, and completed an accredited Medical

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting
  • Experience using an EHR system
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP)
  • AAMA certification is helpful
  • Ability to obtain Breath Alcohol and Federal Drug Screening certificates within 30 days
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vitals
  • Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies and equipment
  • Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy
  • Assist physicians with splints, dressings, and bandages
  • Assist with patient transfers and follow-up scheduling
  • Coordinate physicals and workplace injuries for partner accounts
  • Screen calls for referrals to physicians
  • Willing to travel/float between locations within assigned area

Job Summary And Qualifications
The MDNow Urgent Care Clinic hours are Monday-Sunday 8am-8pm. You must have flexibility to work during those hours.

We are seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant like you who provides expertise and is a champion of patient care. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

As a Medical Assistant, you will:
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments for your patients including preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization
  • Give injections, and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy needs
  • Assist physicians in applying splints, dressings, and bandages
  • Assist with transfers and scheduling of follow-up care
  • Coordinate patient physicals and workplace injuries for partner accounts
  • Screen incoming calls for referral to physicians and practitioners
  • Willing to travel/float between all MD Now locations within assigned Area preferred
You Should Have:
  • 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting is preferred
  • Experience using an EHR system is very helpful
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assisting or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required
  • Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is helpful
  • The ability to obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certificate and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 30 days of start preferred
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
