Job description

The Patient Relations Navigator is responsible for proactively rounding on assigned inpatient units and outpatient departments to triage patient/family/visitor concerns, address patient rights and responsibilities and escalate requests and complaints made by patient/family/visitor to appropriate staff. The Patient Relations Navigator works to create a positive patient experience by meeting and exceeding patient/family expectations and by serving as a liaison between the patient/family and the care team at Fox Chase Cancer Center.

Responsibilities

• Proactively round on assigned inpatient units and outpatient departments to triage patient/family/visitor concerns.
• Address patient rights and responsibilities and escalate requests and complaints to appropriate staff.
• Serve as a liaison between the patient/family and the care team to enhance the patient experience.
• Collaborate with care teams to resolve issues and improve service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field required, or combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• 5 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare environment required.
• General experience and knowledge of medical records platforms required.
• General experience and knowledge of medical terminology required.
• General experience communicating in Spanish (bilingual) preferred.
• General experience with patient advocacy preferred.
