Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Patient Registrar for a Weekdays Only role. The position involves interviewing patients, registering them accurately, verifying insurance, and handling front-end patient data with a strong emphasis on customer service.

The Registrar will perform bedside and workstation registrations, verify benefits, collect patient liabilities, obtain required signatures, and ensure proper documentation in the patient chart to support timely billing and care delivery.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required

Responsibilities

• Interview patients at workstations or bedside to obtain complete account information.
• Provide exemplary customer service
• Verify insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization
• Calculate and collect patient liability amounts
• Ensure signatures are obtained for treatment
• Process patient charts according to workflow
• Assign Insurance Plans accurately
• Verify insurance benefits and authorization status
• Enter authorization/referral numbers into the system
• Explain services, pricing, and insurance policies to patients
