Job summary

Community Hospital in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a Patient Registration professional to support the admitting process at Grand Valley Rehab Therapy. You will communicate the admitting steps to patients, collect and verify information, and ensure accurate patient charts.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of related experience in a medical or customer service setting. Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $20.70 per hour with full benefits and on-site work.

• At least 1 year of related experience in a medical/clinic practice or customer service preferred

Responsibilities

• Communicates the admitting process to the patients.
• Assembles New Patient, authorization, and all electronic forms; verifies accurate and current patient information.
• Prepares schedules and daily appointments and records all information in patient charts.
• Checks insurance and collects co-pay or deductible per payment eligibility in computer system and/or using online tools to ensure correct and accurate data is collected.
• Responsible for sending provider referrals, pre-authorizations, and supporting documentation.
• Responsible for ensuring that opening and closing duties are completed such as cash drawer is open/closed, equipment is turned on/off, and doors are unlocked/locked for the day. Per clinic operations.

Requirements:

Compensation:

• The anticipated compensation range for this position is $18.00-$20.70 per hour, commensurate with qualifications, education, experience, and other applicable factors. This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
• Additional compensation may be available in the form of discretionary incentive or other compensation programs. Any such additional compensation is not guaranteed and is determined at the sole discretion of the organization based on applicable program terms, individual and/or organizational performance, and other eligibility requirements.
