Job summary

R1 RCM is seeking a Patient Service Representative (Registration) for on-site work at Intermountain Sanpete Valley Hospital. The role focuses on registering patients, answering phones, and guiding families through checking in while coordinating with care teams to ensure timely access to care.

You will join a mission-driven team delivering compassionate, accurate patient access and revenue cycle support in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Pass background check and vaccinations as required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with patient access or medical registration is a plus.

On‑Site: Intermountain Sanpete Valley Hospital
Schedule

Tuesday: 7:00AM-12:30PM and

Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday: 6:00AM-4:30PM

As a Patient Registration Representative, you willbe the first point of contact for patients, ensuring they receive fast, compassionate, and accurate access to care.

This is more than registration - it’s a frontline healthcare customer service role where you directly impact patient experience, hospital operations, and revenue cycle success.

WhatYou’llDo
  • Provideexceptional customer serviceand assist patients and families with the check-in processworking across multiple computer systems to register patients efficiently
  • Answer phones and gather accuratepatient information quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Supporttimelyaccess to careby minimizing delays in registrationand answer questions with confidence, clarity, and compassion
  • Build trust with patients during moments when they may be ill, anxious, confused, or overwhelmed
  • Navigate diverse insurance plans and coverage details, enter demographics and medical data, collectco-paysand provide cost estimates when applicable
  • Collaboratewith nurses, physicians, and care teams to ensure smooth patient flow

Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
