Job summary

SGS Consulting in Lansing, MI seeks a front desk professional to handle patient registration and insurance verification. You will respond to inquiries from callers and patients, advocate for their needs, and serve as the welcoming front door to ensure loyalty and a positive experience.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in patient admitting/registration, strong MS Office skills, and a proven ability to work effectively over the phone, in person, and in writing with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in patient admitting/registration and/or insurance eligibility/verification in a hospital or medical office setting.
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards, and behaviors effectively over the telephone, in person and in writing with patients, visitors and clinical/non-clinical staff.
• You must be willing to be on your feet for long periods and able to instruct others.
• The ability to perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
