HCA HealthONE Rose in Denver, CO is hiring a Patient Registrar. The role focuses on timely and accurate patient registration, interviewing patients for account information and verifying insurance coverage.

The position offers an hourly wage range of $18.75 to $28.13 and a Monday–Friday schedule from 5:30am to 2pm. You'll provide exemplary customer service, ensure charts are complete, verify benefits, obtain pre-certifications, and collect patient liabilities.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients at workstations or bedside to obtain necessary account information.
• Provide exemplary customer service.
• Verify all insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization.
• Calculate and collect patient liability amounts.
• Ensure that charts are completed and accurate.
• Assign Insurance Plans (IPlans) accurately.
• Process patient charts according to paperwork flow needs and established productivity standards.
• Interview incoming patients, relatives and/or other responsible individuals to obtain identifying and demographical information with insurance and financial information.
• Verify insurance benefits and determine pre-certification/authorization status via online or other resources.
• Secure all signatures necessary for treatments, release of medical information, assignment of insurance benefits, and payment of services from legally responsible parties.
• Understand/explain policies regarding services, pricing, insurance billing, and payment of account.
