Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registrar, you will be responsible for:

  • Timely and accurate patient registration, including interviewing patients and verifying insurance coverage.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Interviewing patients at the workstation or bedside using carts/computers on wheels.
  • Providing excellent customer service.
  • Completing and verifying charts and insurance information.
  • Obtaining pre-certifications and authorizations.
  • Calculating and collecting patient liabilities.
  • Securing signatures for treatments and documentation.
  • Processing patient charts according to workflow and productivity standards.
  • Gathering demographic and insurance information from patients and relatives.
  • Assigning insurance plans accurately.
  • Verifying benefits and pre-authorization status online or via other resources, initiating pre-certifications as needed.
  • Ensuring all signatures and documentation are obtained and filed properly.
  • Explaining policies regarding services, pricing, and billing to patients.

Qualifications include:

  • Preferred 1 year of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
