Job summary

Shriners Children’s is seeking a Patient Registrar to accurately register patients, collect demographic and insurance information, and provide a welcoming experience for patients and families at our Lexington, KY location. Responsibilities include scheduling, EMR registration, and informing patients about upcoming appointments.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and prior experience with scheduling/registration, with clinical knowledge of medical terminology and procedures

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience with scheduling and registration processes is preferred.
• Clinical experience with knowledge of medical procedures, terminology and documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule or reschedule clinic appointments.
• Ensure outpatients are registered in the EMR system.
• Send written notifications of regularly scheduled appointments to patients and families.
• Orient new patients and families to the Outpatient department.
