Responsibilities

The Patient Account Registrar interviews patients or their representatives to obtain demographic information. This role also secures insurance details, eligibility, benefits, and authorizations. Works closely with all facets of the Admitting department, including PBX operations and reception. Must be proficient in computer use for data entry and retrieval. Effective communication with diverse patient populations, utilizing age-specific techniques from neonatal to geriatrics, is essential. Maintain proficiency in medical terminology. Special projects or assignments may be given with specific deadlines.
