Job summary

Ampla Health is seeking a Referral Coordinator to provide administrative and medical support by coordinating patient referrals within our Yuba City clinic. This role ensures a smooth flow of care and accurate data entry in EHR systems.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and Medical Assistant certification, with strong communication skills and attention to detail. Bilingual abilities are preferred to assist diverse patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant certification required.
• Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM.
• Basic Microsoft Word and computer skills.
• Bilingual ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and process patient referrals according to clinic protocols.
• Schedule referral appointments and maintain referral tracking in the Dashboard and HER.
• Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and outside providers regarding referrals.
• Maintain referral logs, EHR worklists, and documentation in a timely manner.
• Track and complete referrals according to established procedures and productivity expectations.
• Enter and maintain accurate patient data in clinic systems.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and quality improvement activities.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist patients as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
