Job summary

You will gather medical records, prescriptions, and compliance documents to submit timely re-authorization requests and assist patients through the process.

In this role, you will collaborate with sales and clinical staff to facilitate tasks, track pending items, and support appeals when denials occur.

Responsibilities

• Obtain re-authorization requirements for ongoing coverage of durable medical equipment.
• Review and obtain compliance documents, medical records and prescriptions for re-authorization submissions.
• Assist patients in the re-authorization process.
• Coordinate re-authorization tasks with sales and clinical personnel.
• Review pending re-authorization tasks daily and manage timelines.
• Assist in the appeals process for denied re-authorizations.
• Travel to provider offices to gather records for re-authorization as needed.
• Contact patients to schedule doctor appointments required for submission.
• Notify RT/Sales teams about non-compliance and deadlines.
• Maintain effective communication with co-workers for patient benefit.
• Perform general clerical tasks (phones, faxing, emailing).
• Complete other duties as assigned and report concerns to management.
