Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is hiring to provide a safe environment for patients under One to One Supervision for Suicide Precautions and related safety needs. Training is provided during new hire orientation, and a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required before patient observation begins.

A high school diploma or GED is required, with mobility to assist patients as needed. Minimum rate of $17.42 hourly is posted, and the organization notes pay equity and a comprehensive benefits

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
• The ability to stay mobile according to the patients' movement including the ability to stand for periods of time.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred

• Previous work experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Experience as a Patient Care Technician, Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT, Nurse Aide Training, or current Nursing/Psychology student are all preferred.

Licenses and Certifications Required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required prior to performing patient observation.

Minimum rate of $17.42 Hourly
