Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring Patient Observation Assistants for full-time and part-time roles at UK King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. The position involves continuous patient monitoring, safety assurance, and collaboration with RN staff.

Weekend/holiday coverage is required, with ongoing interviews and benefits for eligible staff. The role emphasizes compassionate care, adherence to safety protocols, and rapid escalation to medical staff when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification within 30 days if required at the facility.
• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; lift up to 50 pounds.
• One to two years of previous experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Visually and audibly monitors the assigned patient's condition and behavior at all times.
• Completes observation reports at established interval.
• Remains at the bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
• Immediately summons the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance, control, or other nursing interventions.
• Participates in hand-off of pertinent information/behavior about assigned patient when arriving on unit and upon completion of shift.
• Assists patient with ordering dietary tray and setting up of patient's meal tray; assists with basic positioning and ambulation if safe.
