Job summary

Crothall Healthcare is hiring for Patient Observation Assistant positions at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, GA. Positions are full-time and part-time with 12-hour shifts (6:30 am–7:00 pm or 6:30 pm–7:00 am).

Prior healthcare experience is preferred, and CPR/BLS certification may be required within 30 days of hire. Responsibilities include continuous patient observation under RN direction, documentation, and collaboration with staff to maintain safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and assist with patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Visually and audibly monitor the patient’s condition at all times.
• Complete observation reports at established intervals.
• Remain at the bedside unless relieved by staff.
• Assist with patient transportation and meal setup as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and escalate as required.
• Participate in hand-offs and ensure patient safety.
