MaineHealth seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to lead the Oncology program in the Southern Maine region. This full-time role combines direct patient care with supervisory duties of RN/MA teams and collaboration with Infusion Therapy.

The ideal candidate has oncology experience and leadership skills, and will guide patients through care pathways within the organization. Expect a Monday–Friday clinical schedule with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required or must complete BSN within three years of start date.
• License/Certifications: Current RN license; Oncology certification or plan to achieve certification.

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with up to 2 years of RN experience and $20,000 for Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of RN work experience!

• Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

This full-time Registered Nurse will support a rapidly expanding Oncology program in the Southern Maine Region, offering an exciting opportunity for experienced Oncology nurses seeking career growth. This position would hold shifts in a Monday - Friday Clinical schedule.

• Works closely with the Practice Manager to oversee daily operations of the Sanford, Maine practice.
• Collaborates with other Oncology leaders across the southern region.
• Provides direct supervision for Medical Assistant (MA) and Registered Nurse (RN) team members.
• Provides indirect supervision for administrative, referral, and scheduling teams.
• Primarily responsible for supervisory duties, with the expectation of providing direct patient care as needed.
• Performs clinical tasks such as accessing Mediports, rooming patients, assisting with clinic procedures, and triaging.
• Responds to patient telephone inquiries and coordinates patient care with Infusion Therapy.
• Manages personnel, mentors and coaches staff, oversees staffing schedules, and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Assists with employee evaluations and provides onsite support and guidance for the entire team.

Ideal candidate has prior oncology and leadership experience, along with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Summary:
The Registered Nurse - Patient Navigator - MHMG MMCP role guides patients through the care continuum, establishing contact with recurrent and newly diagnosed cancer patients and/or family members, or caregivers. The Patient Navigator will understand the clinical pathways established by the Oncology Program and will direct the patients to health care services within the organization, at outside facilities, and within the community for timely diagnosis, treatment and survivorship.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required or must complete BSN within three years of start date.
2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Oncology certification or defined process for achieving certification required.
3. Experience: Experience working with oncology patients and families preferred. Experience in community outreach preferred.

The pay range for this position is $83,324.80to $112,736.00per year.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
