Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Food Service Associate for Newark-Wayne Community Hospital. Per diem, evenings and weekend shifts, with duties centered on preparing and serving meals for patients, residents and customers.

The role requires adherence to safety, hygiene, and dietary standards, and strong customer service focus. Responsibilities include assembling meals per diet specs, delivering carts, stocking supplies, and maintaining sanitary facilities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation preferred.
• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Able to prioritize and follow verbal and written instructions highly preferred.
• Customer service driven highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Assemble patient, resident and customer meals or nourishments according to menu and diet specifications, using proper food handling practices.
• Deliver food carts to units and maintain excellent customer relations.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery and filling of supplies to units as required.
• Maintain organization of coolers, freezers and dry storage to aid inventory control.
• Keep work areas safe, sanitary and orderly; use equipment properly and follow sanitation techniques.
• Replenish work stations and supplies for the next meal or shift.
• Operate food service equipment safely and use PPE according to manufacturer labels and SDS.
• Represent Food and Nutrition Services professionally with hygiene and uniforms.
