Job summary

Rochester Regional Health Newark-Wayne Community Hospital is seeking a Food Service Associate to support patient, resident, and customer meals within the Food & Nutrition Services department. This per diem role offers evenings and weekend shifts; prior food service experience is preferred but not required.

You will assemble patient and unit meals, deliver food carts, handle supplies, maintain sanitation and safety practices, and contribute to inventory and equipment upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Assemble patient, resident and customer meals or nourishments according to menu and diet specifications.
• Deliver food carts to units and maintain excellent customer relations.
• Accurately deliver and fill supplies to units as required.
• Assist with organizing coolers, freezers and dry storage for inventory control.
• Maintain work areas in a safe, sanitary and orderly manner and use equipment properly.
• Replenish work stations and supplies for next meal or shift.
• Operate food service equipment safely and follow PPE and SDS guidelines.
• Represent Food and Nutrition Services professionally in hygiene and uniform.
