Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Food Service Associate to deliver patient meals with care and accuracy. You will help with tray assembly, beverage service, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen and dining area. This role emphasizes teamwork and strict adherence to food safety guidelines.

The position requires at least a High School diploma and 6+ months in food service is preferred but not mandatory. Strong interpersonal communication is essential for patient and staff interactions.

Qualifications

• 6+ months’ experience in food service preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations before meals to ensure efficient service.
• Retrieve patient meal trays and deliver meals safely.
• Follow sanitary guidelines and proper food handling procedures.
• Prepare or serve beverages and ready-to-eat items as needed.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining a sanitary environment.
• May cross-train to other areas as needed.
